The National HE STEM Programme (https://www.hestem.ac.uk/) supports higher education institutions in encouraging the exploration of new approaches to recruiting students and delivering programmes of study within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The School of Mathematics at Loughborough University is delighted to have secured funding under the HE Curriculum: Innovation and Enhancement call in order that it can undertake substantial innovation in respect of its programmes for second year mathematicians.

Evaluation of the peer support aspects of the project has been carried out by Francis Duah, Matthew Inglis and Tony Croft. One of their publications on the efficacy of mathematics support can be read (PAL_Paper_acc6.docx)
